My learning journey

  1. Achievements

Working on this portfolio helped me turn broad ideas about being healthy into more specific decisions. My main achievements so far are developing three measurable goals, organising a two-week plan, and learning to question AI-generated health information rather than accepting it immediately.

  2. Nutrition

The nutrition activity made me think about a familiar home-cooked meal in more detail. Chicken, rice, and salad provide different nutrients, but the amounts and preparation methods affect the analysis. I learned that improving a meal can involve practical changes, such as increasing vegetables or choosing a higher-fibre carbohydrate, rather than replacing everything I normally eat.

  3. Fitness

The fitness activity also changed how I interpret numbers. My BMI was easy to calculate, but it could not tell me how fit I am. Checking the sources showed me that age ranges matter when interpreting health information. I can apply this lesson whenever I use online tools for university work or personal decisions.

  4. SMART goals

My progress towards the SMART goals is currently at the planning stage. I have identified activities, targets, and ways to record them, but I cannot yet claim that I have completed ten walks or improved my stress levels. Once I carry out the plan, I will compare my records with the targets and reflect on the difficulties.

  5. Going forward

If I repeated the planning process, I would first measure my usual walking time and record food portions more carefully. This would give me a clearer starting point. Going forward, I want to keep the habits that fit my university routine and adjust those that prove difficult. I will focus on consistency, realistic changes, and checking information before using it.
